Hello Angels , It feels like ages since I've shared my thoughts with you, and I must admit, I've missed this space. I hope life has been treating you well. Today, I want to dive deep into my journey—one that has been both challenging and transformative.

As the year 2021 drew to a close, I found myself merely existing rather than truly living. I was unhappy with my weight, and I realized how easily life can lead us to neglect our own needs. Our busy schedules often push our desires to the background, leaving us feeling unfulfilled. When my clothes started to fit differently, I knew I had to pivot.

In late 2022, I took the first step towards change by simply moving my body. It wasn't until 2023 that I fully committed to my health journey, and in doing so, I uncovered layers of myself I never knew existed. I came to understand that I was unhealed in many areas of my life, often hiding behind a mask of happiness. On the outside, I appeared put together, but inside, I was struggling with issues that affected every aspect of my life.

How could I write about beauty products when I felt I had lost touch with my own sense of self? It was during this time of reflection that I distanced myself from distractions and turned to God, the gym, and a therapist. I realized that all those hours spent scrolling through social media could have been invested in nurturing my body and mind.

This journey has not been easy. There were days when I chose to listen to inspirational videos instead of music, immersing myself in sermons and messages that uplifted my spirit. Whenever discouragement crept in, a timely message would appear, reminding me of the importance of faith and perseverance. I leaned on God throughout this season of isolation, and it became clear that my workouts evolved into acts of self-care and healing rather than just a pursuit of vanity.

With each passing day, my body grew stronger, and so did my mind. I experienced breakthroughs related to past relationships and unresolved pain. This season of transformation became deeply personal. Yes, it's wonderful to look good on the outside, but what about nurturing our spirit and inner self?

Today, I proudly work out five days a week, incorporating practices like intermittent fasting and alternate day fasting. Each journey is unique, and it's essential to discover what works best for you.

Remember, embracing self-care is not just about physical appearance; it's about nurturing your mind, body, and spirit. As you navigate your own journey, I encourage you to take the time to reflect, heal, and grow. You are worthy of this journey, and every step you take towards self-discovery is a step towards a brighter future.

I want to leave you with this quote until next time.”Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” -Aristotle

Thank you for being part of my journey, and I look forward to sharing more with you. Let’s continue to support each other as we navigate life’s ups and downs together. Stay inspired!

Hello Angels,

Can you believe that this month makes 3 years since I've launched this blog? I'm so excited that we've made it this far! I couldn’t have gotten this far without you all, so in saying that we are having our first giveaway. I'm doing two giveaways this month. Make sure you are following IAmSimplyAngel on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest and comment on this blog to be entered into the giveaway.

So, let's get into this week blog on primers. Lately my usual go to is Elf mineral infused face primer. This has always been my go-to. I will say that it doesn’t have a whole lot of product inside the bottle. It will last maybe two weeks if you wear a full face every day. This product makes my skin super smooth and its lightweight! Additionally, it also feels nice on the face. The only bad thing I can really say is that the tube it comes in is not the best.

While I was in Target I decided to pick up the Power Grip Primer by Elf instead of my usual and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The applicator was a lot better. I wore it for a week so I can give an honest view. It went on smooth, it hid my pores, and still a nice smooth feeling on my face. It also made my makeup last longer. It's a good dupe for the milk primer. You really can't tell a difference and elf is half the price. I have even worn it without makeup. My t-zone was less shiny it gave me a clean look. I've picked up 2 more so I don’t run out. You will not be disappointed with this primer.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend. Please enter the giveaway! I'm excited about having an opportunity to give back to you all for supporting me! In closing I will leave you with these final words:

"Everyone has a story, don't presume to write the ending to mine until you have read all the pages." -Hugh C. Holder

Until next week Angels!

Love, Angel ❤

Hello Angels, I hope this blog finds you happy and healthy. I've been wearing these lipsticks for a few months. I've reviewed a lot of lipsticks I must say these are top tier. I love the way they feel and how it glides on your lips like butter, it's lightweight it leaves behind smooth pigmented color. I have the Milani color fetish shine in the colors 180 Seduce and 110 Lustful. You can use it with a lipliner, but you really don’t need one. I use Morphe l (love bite) lipliner it works well with all these colors. When I'm in mood for a nice pop of color with a Matte look, they still have me covered, with the Color Fetish Matte Lipstick. They do have a nude's collection and they look great on any skin tone. I tried it out with my girlfriends also and it looked amazing on all of us. With most matte lips I have to put something on my lips, so they won't dry out, however with these it's totally not necessary. The only thing I will say is that the nude collection sells out fast. The colors I picked up in the nude's collection are 430 Secret, 420 Tease, and 460 Sensual which is my favorite. I want more colors but every time I look for them, they are sold out. It's my favorite drugstore lipstick, well just my favorite lipstick period.

I've picked them up from Ulta and Walgreens. If you try them out let me know how you like them.
